On the fifth sunday of Easter I visited All Saints parish in Amsterdam South-East (Bijlmer), an English speaking parish with parishioners mainly of Ghanese and Nigerian origin. During Mass I spent holy confirmation to thirteen parishioners, young or a bit older, and to three man I comissioned the task of being extraordinary ministers of the holy communion. In de co-kathedrale basiliek van de H. Nicolaas in Amsterdam vond zaterdag 10 mei een bijzonder gebeuren plaats. Een gedenkteken van de H. Gregorius van Narek werd geplaatst op initiatief van de St. Grigor Narekatsi foundation en de Pan-Armenian Geografic Society. Daarbij werd ook paus Franciscus herdacht die deze heilige tot kerkleraar heeft uitgroepen.

This year the Divine Mercy feast was celebrated in English in the cathedral basilica of Saint Bavo in Haarlem, while a dutch Divine mercy celebration with bishop Punt was held in the shrine of Heiloo.
