Aandacht in Polen voor de Nederlandse en Belgische kerk
Zondag 3 maart was Dominika Krupinska op bezoek. Deze Poolse theologe en historica heeft een Poolstalige blog over de kerk in Nederland en België en organiseert al sinds een aantal jaren een "Stille Omgang" in Krakow, samen met de Dominicanen daar.
Stille Omgang
Voor die Stille Omgang in Krakow schrijf ik ieder jaar een brief. De tekst van dit jaar kunt U hieronder vinden. Waarschijnlijk zullen dit jaar al enkele deelnemers aan de Stille Omgang in Amsterdam uit Krakow komen en we hopen dat in de toekomst een georganiseerde bedevaart mogelijk wordt.
Blog
Op haar blog is nieuws over de kerk in Nederland te lezen en zij bericht er over de reis die kardinaal Eijk maakte in Polen ter presentatie van de Poolse vertaling van zijn handboek over de seksuele moraal. Dominka Krupinska was onder meer één van de sprekers op het symposium dat voor die gelegenheid was georganiseerd. Zowel de presentatie als de reis hebben in Polen veel weerklank gevonden in de media. Dr. Krupinka leeft ook mee met gebeurtenissen zoals het overlijden van mgr. Harrie Smeets, dat haar zeer heeft geraakt.

Dear Friends,
The theme of this year’s silent procession in Amsterdam is: “Pilgrims of hope, praying for peace”. We all know that this prayer for peace is right now very important, since wars are going on in Ukraine, the Holy Land and other places in the world and since there are many threats, we have to pray more.
The origin of all this evil is in the hearts of man and it is at the end a consequence of original sin. But with God’s grace we can resist to the temptation to use evil means to reach our goals. Let us pray for the leaders of the nations, that the Lord may inspire them thoughts of peace.
God became man to free us from the reign of Evil and to become people of Peace, which in the end is perfect harmony between God and His creation. This perfect peace we will only reach in heaven, but we all have the mission to be good persons, to live ‘heavenly lives’ and radiate peace. It is this peace in the hearts of man that is nourished and strengthened by the holy Eucharist. Peace be with you!
I am grateful that you have organised once again this Silent Procession in honour of Jesus Christ who dwells among us in the most holy Sacrament of the Eucharist and that you participate in it. May the Good Lord accompany you with His blessing during your prayer and procession in honour of the Blessed Sacrament and throughout your life!
I heard that some of you will travel to the Silent Procession (Stille Omgang) in Amsterdam as well. I was really glad to hear this. I hope to welcome in the future a Polish pilgrimage for the Silent Procession, the “Stille Omgang” in Amsterdam!
