Every year in Amsterdam we celebrate the Eucharistic miracle that happened there with a silent procession, the "Stille Omgang". This year there were two programs for young people. one in English, one in Dutch and English. I started this special night of the silent procession with the English celebration in Saint Francis Xavier's church, popularly called "De Krijtberg". But also in Kraków every year there is a silent procession, participants there join us in the spirit. On Saturday morning, 9 November, I celebrated Holy Mass for the anniversary of the charismatic Catholic community El Shaddai, which meets in the Peace Church in Amsterdam.

On saturday the 4^th of november the charismatic catholic Phillipino community of El Shaddai celebrated its anniversary, with a joyous celebration in the Vredeskerk, where they have their H. Mass on sundays. We reflected on the gospel of this liturgical day, where Jesus a little parable about taking the lowest place.

The 2nd sunday of Easter is Mercy-Sunday, which is celebrated in a special way in the shrine of Heiloo (where bishop Jozef Punt celebrated the dutch Divine Mercy feast) and in the cathedral church in Haarlem where the English spoken Divine Mercy Feast was celebrated. On sunday the 24th of april we celebrated the Divine Mercy Feast in our cathedral with the English speaking community. It was organised by the Divine Mercy Apostolate Holland and the Filippino-English community of Laren, but there were faithful from all parts of the country. It was nice to celebrate this beautiful occasion again with so many people!

Dat de Filippijnse katholieke gemeenschap in ons bisdom een zeer levende kerk is, mocht ik deze Pinksterzondag weer ervaren. Op zondagmiddag werd in Hoofddorp, in de Sint Johannes de Doperkerk, niet alleen de nederdaling van de heilige Geest over de apostelen gevierd, maar ook de komst van Gods Geest over 22 vormelingen en de aanstelling van Marcel van Lochem tot buitengewoon bedienaar van de heilige communie.
